From Field to Plate...

Art Therapy

Once a week Christine teaches two classes at Anagennisi a Rehabilitation Facility located nearby. Classes range from five to fifteen people. The first class is with stroke patients and the second is with accident victims. Classes have the purpose of cheering up the patients and teaching them new creative skills as well as helping them physically by moving paralyzed or stiff arms and hands. In addition to clay, the participants will also engage in painting, collage, paper-cutting and making cards, which increase their motor skills.
